Our Story

A Journey of Health Empowerment

The Walhallow Aboriginal Corporation has deep roots in the history and culture of the Aboriginal people in Caroona NSW. Originally, Walhallow was established as a pastoral lease in the early 1900s, a period marked by significant changes in land ownership and management in Australia. Over time, the station became not just a place of economic activity but also a hub for the local Aboriginal community, providing employment opportunities and a sense of belonging.

As the decades passed, the need for self-determination and community empowerment became increasingly evident. In response, the Walhallow Aboriginal Corporation was formed to address the specific needs and aspirations of the Aboriginal people in the region. Since its inception, the corporation has played a vital role in advocating for Indigenous rights, promoting cultural awareness, and facilitating economic development initiatives. Through various programs and partnerships, the corporation continues to work towards improving the quality of life for Aboriginal individuals and families, while also preserving and celebrating their rich cultural heritage.

Guided by our heritage, we pledge to continue innovating healthcare that respects and integrates our cultural values for a healthier tomorrow
